Ms. Viola Morgan, 56, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away peacefully after a long battle with sickness, at UAMS, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and wife of almost forty years to her husband until his death. She was a homebody whose whole desire was to satisfy her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was born to the late Mr. Willie Lee Pollard and the late Ms. Frances Lee Sutton – Pollard on April 23, 1969, in Marvell, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband of almost forty years, Mr. Leonard James Morgan. Two sisters, Frances Pollard – Brown, and Peggy Pollard, who died at birth.
She is survived by and leaves to cherish her many memories, one son, Mr. Leonard Pollard-Morgan of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. One bonus daughter, Ms. Crystal Woosley of Cairo, Illinois. Three sisters, Ms. Ora (Sylvester) Reed of Bakersfield, California, Ms. Josephine Fuller of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ms. Peggy (Willie) Boyd of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Three brothers, Mr. Samuel Pollard (Janice Hailey), and Mr. Willie Pollard, both of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Mr. John Pollard of Cairo, Illinois. Two brothers-in-law Mr. Curtis Morgan of Decatur, Alabama, and Mr, Ovell Brown, and a very special sister-in-law, Ms. Betty Morgan of Texarkana, Arkansas, who also served as her caretaker. Seven grandchildren, J’Den, Crysti-Andrae, Jillah, Jeh’Shune, and Derrick Woods of Cairo, Illinois, Ta’miah Morgan and Jacoby Cobb, both of Decatur Alabama.
Her service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860 where Rev. Howard Banks will serve as Officiant and Eulogist, under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home. There will be a public visitation on Friday October 3, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. at the Hamilton-Davis Chapel and interment will be immediately following her service on Saturday at Crossroad Missionary Baptist Church, 310 Lafayette County Road 20, Lewisville, Arkansas. 71845.
