July 27, 1993 – February 18, 2026

Mrs. Shakia A. Bradley-Bates, 32, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Formerly of Stamps Arkansas, passed away at Jefferson County Hospital in Pione Bluff, Arkansas after a battle with multiple health concerns. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and cousin.

Mrs. Shakia Alexis Bradley-Bates was born on July 27, 1993, to Marquette Bradley and Versie Lee Fleming Bradley in El Paso, Texas.

Shakia married the love of her life, Jarvis Bates, in 2014. She was a great mother to three beautiful girls. Ariana, Jy’Myra, and Bailee. She loved all her family dearly.

Shakia’s creativity extended into the kitchen where she loved experimenting with canning pickles and okra. She loved baking bread, which was her specialty. She worked as a CNA, a Bank teller, a loan officer, and as a Property Manager in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Shakia had a brilliant mind, and a compassionate soul. She was a free-spirited person and had the ability to brighten up any room. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Shakia was preceded in death by her only brother, Martavious D. Bradley, one sister, Keish E. Bradley. Her grandparents, Johnny Flemings Jr., Louise Haynes Fleming, Elmer B. Bradley and Ruby L. Alexander-Bradley.

Shakia is survived by her husband Jarvis Bates, her daughters Ariana, Jy’Myra, and Bailee. Her father-in-law Jimmy Bates, mother-in-law Sharon Bates. Her father Marquette Bradley, mother Versie Lee Fleming Bradley. Five sisters Christina L. (Jonathan) Ellis, Marquitta Y. Bradley, Tanisha L. Bradley (Tim) Wise, Angela L. Bradley, Tyesha B. Bradley, eight nieces, e nephews. A generation of aunts, cousins, and extended family.

Her service is to be held on Monday, February 23, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with her sister Keisha’s in Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas
