Sameul Davis Obituary

Mr. Sameul (Buddy Boy) Davis (91), of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away at the Springs of Texarkana on September 7, 2024. He was a beloved friend and member of the Garland community who enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was a faithful member of the Charity Missionary Baptist church where he served as an Usher. Mr. Davis had an infectious personality and seemed to never meet a stranger.

Mr. Davis was born on January 8, 1933, in Texarkana, Arkansas, and was the adopted son of the late R.D. Davis and Fannie Davis-Pickett. He was a gentle soul that brought joy to many people and was loved by his nieces and nephews. He loved God and showed his love for people by serving faithfully as an Usher on Sundays.

He was preceeded in death by his parents Mr. R.D. Davis and Mrs. Fannie Davis-Pickett and is survived by, one step-son Daryal Pickett, nephews David Pickett, Jack Pickett, Adrian Pickett and his nieces Debbie Dullabaun, Janice Edmond, Annie Smith, Karen Davis, Linda Appewhite, and his friend Pauline Pickett, and a Step-grandaughter SaTashia Pickett.

His graveside service will be held on September 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Wynn cemetery in Garland, Arkansas under the direction of the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home with Rev. James Larkin officiating. A visitation will be held on September 13, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Chapel 415 east 1st street Stamps, Arkansas 71860.

Masks are optional but highly encouraged.
