Obituary For Ronald Wayne Koontz

Pastor Ronald Wayne Koontz

September 5, 1955 – October 25, 2055

Pastor Ronald Koontz, 70, of Fulton, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Saturday October 25, 2025. Pastor Koontz was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He served the Hope Public Schools as a mechanic and bus driver. Most importantly he was a Christian and had served as a pastor in the Baptist Church.

Pastor Koontz was born to the late Mr. Henry Koontz and the late Mrs. Erma B. Walker – Koontz, on September 5, 1955. He spent his formative years in the Hope School system, he went on to graduate from Hope High School in the Class of 1973. He attended what was known then as Red River Vocational Technical School for mechanics.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his siblings, Finous Koontz, Alvin Koontz, Vanderbelt Koontz, Gladys Glover, Ruby Stewart, James Koontz, Charles Trotter and Leonard Trotter.

He is survived by and leaves to cherish his many memories One son, Jason Koontz of Fort Smith, Arkansas. One daughter, Felicia Koontz of Hope, Arkansas. One grandson, Colton Koontz. One sister, Mrs. Dorothy Gilliam of Dayton, Ohio. Two brothers, Mr. Joseph Koontz of Dayton, Ohio and Mr. Farris Koontz of Fulton, Arkansas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, classmates, and former co-workers.

HIs service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday November 1, 2025, at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Fulton, Arkansas, with a public viewing from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. where Pastor Black will serve as Officiant and Pastor Jessie Radford will serve as Eulogist under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral. Interment will be immediately following his service at Church Hill Cemetery in McNab, Arkansas.
