Patricia Ann Moore

November 11, 1963 – October 23, 2024

Mrs. Patricia Ann Moore, of Waldo, Arkansas, passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center North, in the early morning hours of October 23, 2024, after a long bout with health concerns. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother grandmother, and friend. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of St. John Baptist Church Waldo, Arkansas.

She was born the eldest child to the late Mr. Herman Young and the late Ms. Ethelene Wheeler on Nobember 11, 1963 in Magnolia Arkansas. She spent her formative years in Waldo, Arkansas and was a proud graduate of the 1982 Class at Waldo High School.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and husband, Mr. Calvin Lee Young who was her lifetime love of 38 years, just this past May and a brother, Mr. Danny Young. She is survived by and leaves to cherish many memories, her two sons, Mr. Nicholas Young, Sr. (Kimberly) of Magnolia and Mr. Colby Moore (Shawntay) of Waldo, Arkansas. Her one and only daughter, Ms. Marketa Moore (Kirk) of Waldo, Arkansas. Three brothers, Mr. Robert Colvin, Mr. Jeff Colvin, both of Magnolia, Arkansas and Mr. Sherman (Melissa) Young of Delhi, Louisiana. Three sisters, Ms. Alisssa Colvin, Ms. Malitha (Phillip) Williams both of Magnolia, Arkansas and Ms. Katrina Young of Texarkana, Texas. Her grandchildren, Kaniya Sade Monique "Poo-Pooh" Smith, Zakeyous Jerel "Z.J." Young, Nicholas "Jerel" Junnie" Young, Jr., Shamya Janai "Me-Me" Young, Nykia Lorean "Lo-Lo" Young and Airrelle Jerel Young and Anjaleah "Le-Le" Moore. Her only great grandchild, Drayvon "K.J." Gilmore. Her special friends, Ms. Jackie Lambert, Ms. Pearl Robinson, Mr. Greg Weaver, Ms. Tatiana Hamilton, Mr. Robert Samuels and Mr. Brednie “Nuk” McClain. Her god daughter Ms. Shateah Smith and a special daughter in law Ms. Sade Young.

Ms. Patricia was a homebody who loved playing games, especially cards. She was an excellent cook and would fish seven days a week if she was able. She had a big heart for her for her children and grandchildren and hung out with a select few close-knit friends as much as time permitted.

Her service will be held at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel; 415 East First Street, Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral home and its Staff. A public visitation will be held in the chapel on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. Interment will be immediately following her service at Smith Cemetery, U.S. Highway 82 East at Columbia County Rd. 27 North.

Masks are optional but highly recommended for the sake of those who may be around, beside, in front of or behind you.
