Nathaniel Brown Obituary

Mr. Nathaniel "Tony" Brown, 80 years old, of Buckner, Arkansas passed away on December 4, 2024. He was born August 23, 1944, to Lee Andrew Sr. and Mandy (Wilson) Brown in Waldo, Arkansas. Nathaniel graduated from Ellis High School in Stamps, Arkansas. and later moved to Inglewood, California.

He worked 36 years and one day at Armstrong Tile Company. He found joy and purpose in recycling and hauling junk. He was passionate with preserving and repurposing while spending countless hours sorting, hauling, and turning what others discarded into money. He was united in holy matrimony on September 26, 1970 to Johnnie B. 3 children were born: Josette, Loretta, and Nathaniel Jr. Nathaniel moved back to Buckner in 2018 and reunited with Mt. Ollie Freewill Baptist Church.

He was an loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend! Nathaniel was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Josette Brown, seven brothers: Lee Andrew Jr., Burl, Johnny, Cleo, Odell, Artis, and James. Three sisters: Ezzie Lee Johnson, Dollie V. Wilson, and Ollie B. Brown.

Cherished memories will remain with his children: Nathaniel Brown Jr., Loretta Brown-Mitchell (B. Shaheed Mitchell);brother: John L.(Minnie) Brown, sisters: Ammie Brown, and Christine Burks, three grandchildren: Aashlee Stokes, Malia K. Mitchell, and Miles N. Mitchell. He had a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, and a special niece, Ebony Washington.

HIs service will be held at the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel; 415 East First Street, Saturday December 14, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. where Pastor Fred Jackson will serve as Officiant and Eulogist, under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home and Staff. A public visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 11:00A.M. until 3:30 P.M. Interment will be immediately following his service at Buckner Cemetery, Buckner, Arkansas.
