Johnnie “Duke” Williams, Jr
September 28, 1962 – September 22, 2024
Mr. Johnnie “Duke Williams, Jr., 61, of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away at Wadley Regional Medical Center – Hope, on the evening of September 22, 2024, after a long battle with health issues. He was a fun-loving man who never seemed to run across a stranger. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who may have needed it.
Mr. Williams was born to the late, Mr. Johnnie Williams, Sr and Mrs. Edna Carrol-Williams on September 28, 1962, in Lewisville, Arkansas. He was a beloved son, brother, dad, uncle, cousin and friend who loved yard work and anything he could do as a handyman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Johnnie Williams, Sr., a daughter, Ms. Crystal Williams, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Johnson and Ms. Wanda Luckey.
He is survived by his wife of more than 30 years Mrs. Mary Ann Williams of Lewisville, Arkanss, his mother, Mrs. Edna Carrol-Williams of Lewisville, Arkansas. His son, Mr. Johnny Williams III, of DeQueen, Arkansas, his daughter, Ms. Jennifer Williams of Tennessee. His brothers, Mr. Robert (Connie) Gaines and Mr. James (Cynthia) Ward, Jr. both of Lewisville, Arkansas, Mr. Michael (LaTresa) Williams of Stamps, Arkansas, Mr. Mark (Meredith) Williams of Texarkana, Arkansas. His sisters, Ms. Loyce Lloyd of Florida, Mrs. Tina (Donnie) Whitley of Lewisville, Arkansas and Ms. Christina Williams of Iowa. His only granddaughter, Little Ms. Abrianna Williams, one aunt, Ms. Pearline Sanders of Lewisville, Arkansas, one uncle, Mr. Roosevelt Williams of Texarkana, Arkansas and a special little friend, Little Ms. Harmony Harper.
His service will be held at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860 on Saturday October 5, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. where Pastor MacArthur Turner will serve at the Officiant and Eulogist, under the direction of the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Staff. There will be a public visitation on Friday, October 4, 2024, in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be immediately following the funeral service in Crossroad Cemetery, 310 County Road 20, Lewisville, Arkansas 71845.
