James Edward Trammell
May 5, 1956 – April 2, 2025
Mr. James Edward “Yank” Trammell, 68, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at Willis-Knighton, Bossier City, Louisiana, in the early morning hours of April 2, 2025. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
Mr. Trammell was born to the late Mr. Leonard Trammell and the late Mrs. Caroline King-Trammell on May 5, 1956. He was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters, Mrs. Josie Caldwell, Mrs. Dorothy Grigsby and Mrs. Rosie Mary Gill. Four brothers, Mr. Joseph Trammell, Mr. Willie Lewis Brown, Mr. Leonard Ray Trammell, and Mr. Lee Authur Trammell, one daughter, Ms. Nicole Leopard, and one bonus son, Mr. Bermica (BA) Speech.
He is survived by his life partner of forty-five years, Ms. Mary Harris. His son, Mr. James Keith (Dimesia) Harris. Five daughters, Kelly Webb (Kenny Beal) of Bradley, Arkansas, Carone Harris-Estell of Texarkana, Texas, Cha’Koya Trammell of Springhill, Louisiana, Cha'Kia Lee of Springhill, Louisiana, and Denesha Trammell (Mark Garrick) of Las Vegas, Nevada. One brother, Mr, Early B. Trammell of Farmerville, Louisiana. Nine grandchildren, Jameshia Webb, Darniecia McDaniels, Jayla Estell, Ja’Kiah Burns, Drayden Gilbert, Ciara Harris, Riley Harris, Erin Harris and Greyson Garrick. Three great-grandchildren, Skyler Webb, Stormi Webb, and Adreya McDaniels. His bonus children, Lawanda Brown, Rodney Richardson, KoQuanta Speech, Constance Speech, and James Speech.
Mr. Trammell was a proud father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan whose sport of choice was basketball, he also loved listening to the blues and playing dominoes. He attended Bradley High School and spent his adult life as a truck driver finishing out his career as a driver for Perritt and Vickers Inc. of Magnolia, Arkansas.
His service will be held in the Bradley Baptist Church; 312 W. 7th St., Bradley, Arkansas 71826 on Saturday April 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. where Pastor James Harris will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. A public visitation to be held at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street; Stamps, Arkansas 71860. Interment will be immediately following his service on Saturday at St. Mary Cemetery, Lafayette County Road 2, Bradley, Arkansas.
Masks are optional but highly recommended for the sake of health and well-being.
