March 1, 1938 – October 27, 2025

Mrs. Gloria Dean Grissom, 87, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in Lewisville, Arkansas on the afternoon of Monday, October 27, 2025. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and most importantly a Christian. Her Christian journey started at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church, after marriage she moved her membership to Rocky Mound Baptist Church, she departed this world as a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where Pastor James Fred Williams served as her pastor.

She was born on March 1, 1938, to the late Mr. Robert Gilbert and the late Mrs. Stella Johnson-Gilbert in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by both parents, one son, James Calvin Grissom and all four of her sisters.

She is survived by her children, Ms. Gloria Ann Randle of Lewisville, Arkansas, Mr. Ellis Ray (Beverly) Grissom of Texarkana, Arkansas, Mrs. Lori Ann (Clay) Outlaw of Pensacola Florida, Mr. Keith Grissom of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Ms. Susie Ann Grissom of Stamps, Arkansas and Mr. M.J. (Tisha) Grissom of Texarkana, Texas. Twenty-one grandchildren, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers.

Ms. Grissom was a woman who would always let people know exactly where they stood with her, very outspoken, but would give the shirt off her back or her last bite of food. She loved to shop, fish, cook and sew. When she wasn’t doing those things, she spent time on her porch where she enjoyed listening to music, especially blues and gospel.

Her service will be held at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home, 415 East first Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860 on Saturday November 8, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. where Rev. Johnny Ray Radford will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. There will be a public visitation on Friday November 7, 2025, at Hamilton-Davis Chapel from 11:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. and her interment will be immediately following her service on Saturday at Harrison Chapel Cemetery 409 Patterson Street, Springhill, Louisiana 71075.
