Glenn Herrin Obituary

Glenn Edward Herrin 68, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, passed away on March 18, 2025, at his home. He was a beloved husband, uncle, and friend. He was the proud graduate of the Carrier Martin High School Class of 1974, where he played football. Most importantly, he dedicated his life to Christ and was of the Church of God in Christ faith.

He was born to the late Elmer Herrin and the late Jessie Mae Robinson, April 9, 1956, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. He married the love of his life Alice Faye Haynes-Herrin. He was a retired truck driver from Greer Trucking in Springhill, Louisiana. He loved listening to music, fishing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, Two brothers, Larry Herrin and Melvin Herrin, one sister, Lucille Grigsby.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Mrs. Alice Faye Hayes-Herrin of Plain Dealing, Louisiana. Four brothers, Bobby of Dallas, Texas, James of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jessie of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Elmer of Homer, Louisiana. One sister, Linda Threadgill of Aurora, Colorado. A host of co-workers, friends, and family.

His service will be held at St. Paul Church of The Lord Jesus, 17763 LA-157, Plain Dealing, Louisiana 71064, Saturday March 29, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. where Pastor James Martin will serve as Officiant and Elder Donald Douglas will serve as the Eulogist, under the direction of the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Staff. A public visitation will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.at St. Paul Church of The Lord Jesus. Interment will be immediately following his service at St, Mary Cemetery in Bradley, Arkansas.
