June 9, 1973 – March 2, 2026

Dixon Kelley III, 52, of Texarkana, Arkansas, was born to Mr. Dixon Kelley II and to the late Mrs.
Earnestine B. Kelley on June 9, 1973. He was deeply cherished and loved. Being the youngest in the
family, he was surrounded by a family with strong values that helped shape him into a caring, devoted
and loving man.
Dixon grew up in Texarkana, Arkanss where he attended Arkansas High School. During his time there,
he excelled in athletics, particularly baseball. His determination, competitive spirit. And natural athletic
ability made him stand out amongst his peers. His love for sports continued throughout his life and he
remained a true football fanatic who enjoyed watching games and talking about sports with his family
members and friends.
After graduating from high school, Dixon went into the workforce as an employee for Tyson Foods. He
later joined the team of Southwest Printers in Texarkana where he pursued greater opportunities,
eventually being promoted to a supervisory role. In every position he held, Dixon demonstrated
dedication, leadership and strong work ethic which earned the respect of those around him.
As a child, Dixon attended Miles Chapel C.M.E. where he was introduced to faith and community.
In 2005, he married the love of his life Mary Ann MccDonald-Kelly. Their union was built on love,
commitment, and an unwavering partnership. Together they formed a household filled with love,
laughter, care and support for one another and out of that union their only child, Ciara Alexis Kelley.
Dixon was a proud and loving, devoted husband to Mary Ann, and Ciara was the light of his life. He
worked tirelessly to ensure she never wanted or needed anything. Caring for and showing love to his
wife and daughter was his greatest joy and purpose.
Dixon was known for his infectious smile and gentle spirit. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, husband,
and father who treasured the time he spent with his family members and friends. He especially loved,
respected, and adored his mother. He valued the bond they shared. He also had an exceptionally close
relationship with his niece, Sharme Webb, who held a special place in his heart.
He leaves to cherish his many precious memories, his beloved and devoted wife, Mrs. Mary Ann
McDonald-Kelley, his beautiful daughter, Ciara Alexis Kelley. His father, Mr. Dixon Kelley, II, his sisters,
Ms. Veronica Kelley, Ms. Thalia D. Kelley, Mrs. Jackie (Steve) Robert, and Mrs. Rochelle (Jaryel) Jackson.
His brothers, Mr. Johnny Von (Tesa) Kelley and Mr. Malik Shabazz, A host of aunts, uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends, in laws and former coworkers, all of whom he loved and
respected.
His service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday March 21, 2026, at Miles Chapel C.M.E, 1004 Ash
Street, Texarkana, Arkansas, 71854 where his sister Thalia D. Kelley will serve as Eulogist. There will be a
private family viewing on Friday, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
Masks are optional but highly recommended because of the recent rise in COVID cases.
