March 21, 1953 - August 20, 2025

Mrs. Deloice Brock of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away peacefully at The Green House Cottages of Wentworth Place in Magnolia, Arkansas on the morning of August 20, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, god-mother, aunt, cousin, and friend, and most importantly was a child of God.

She was a member of Saint James of Lewisville, Arkansas. Pastor Dr. Roderick Trotter. She loved attending until her health began to fail. She was a proud member and graduate of Ellis High School in Stamps, Arkansas. She was a CNA for many years, babysitter, and homemaker. She loved family time, cooking, and watching everyone eat, talking on the phone, playing dominos and spades, listening to gospel and old school music. She enjoyed driving others around town and was affectionally nicknamed “Taxi”. She cherished joking with Pastor Tatum and wife, Judy. Her favorite television show was Love and Marriage of Huntsville.

She was born to the late David Tyson and the late Mary Johnson on March 21, 1953, in Stamps, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, Mr. John Henry Delaney and Mr. Willie James Delaney, six sisters, Mrs. Mary Henderson, Mrs. Gracie Hill, Mrs. Erma Lane Delaney, Mrs. Annie Marie Wynn, and Mrs. Annie Bell Bradley, Erma Jean Tatum. One son, Mr. John Smith Sr.

She is survived by and leaves to cherish her many memories, One Daughter, Ms. Mary Kelly of Lewisville, Arkansas. Two sons, Mr. Joseph (Wanda) Smith of Hope Mills, North Carolina and Mr. David Smith of Magnolia, Arkansas. Bonus Daughters, Ms. Denise Smith of Nash, Texas and Ms. Joann Timmons of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Bonus Sons, Mr. Roger Thomas of Lewisville, Arkansas, Mr. Bennie Muldrew Sr. of Texarkana, Arkansas, Rev. Charles Edward (Stephanie) Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Mr. Phi Smith of Mt. Pine, Arkansas. Nine grandchildren, Teekoyah Miller, Judarius Smith, Destiny Kelly, Octavia Smith, John Smith Jr., Jeremiah Smith, LaToyia Brown, Patrick Timmons Jr., and Blake Smith. One great grandchild, Brelyn Miller. Two god-children, Lee Otis Washington Jr. and Mariah Washington. Special nieces, Cassie Smith, Jasmine Martin, Traci Michelle Tyson-Price, Christie Dismuke, and Ashley “Tuda” Muldrew. A caring friend/neighbor Allen Jones. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860, where Elder Wanda Smith will serve as Officiant and Eulogist under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home. There will be a public visitation on Friday August 29, 2025, at the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 A.M, to 3:30 P.M. and her interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Valley Street, Stamps, Arkansas 71860.
