Aubrey Gulley Jr. Obituary

Mr. Aubrey Gulley, Jr., 75, of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 18, 2023. Mr. Gulley was a 1966 graduate of Foster High School in Lewisville, Arkansas. Shortly after graduation he was called to serve in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. After completing his service with an Honorable Discharge, he moved to California where he worked for and retired from the city of Santa Monica as a maintenance technician.

When he was not working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with his hands.

He was born to Mr. Aubrey Gulley, Sr. and Pearl Tatum-Gulley on November 16, 1948. He cherished his children, grandchildren, and friends. He was preceded in death by both his parents, and siblings Norris Pitts, Claudie Moore, and J.W. Gulley, His sisters Ozell Gulley, Carrie Ann Gulley, Maggie Pitts, Le Anne Gulley.

He is survived by his wife of more than 42 years, Mrs. Jessie Gulley of Norwalk, California. Four sons, Johnny (Beatrice) Smith, of Red Oak, TX, Henry Gulley of Pasadena, CA, Santiago (Ursula) Gulley, of Newark, NJ, and Brent Gulley, of Las Vegas, NV. One daughter Ava Gulley of Bellflower, CA. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, cousins, friends, and former co-workers.

There will be a public visitation Saturday November 25, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street; Stamps, Arkansas 71860 with a graveside service immediately following at the Old Town Cemetery Hwy 29 North at Cemetery Road, Lewisville, Arkansas 71845.
