Mrs. Arcie Lee Howard

June 11, 1946 – July 14, 2024

Mrs. Arcie Lee Howard, 78, of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away on Sunday morning, July 14, 2024, in Lewisville, Arkansas. Mrs. Howard was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and most importantly, a Christian and member of Crossroad Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a very active member until she was no longer able to attend. She was as well, a longtime employee of Homestead Manor Nursing Home in Stamps, Arkansas.

Mrs. Howard was born to the late Mr. Loyd Hughes and the late Mrs. Mary Lee Thomas-Hughes on June 11, 1946, in Garland City, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Sylvester Howard twenty-two years ago, both parents and her three sisters, Ms. Elizabeth Banks, Ms. Willie Mae Hughes, and Ms. Ruby Mae Cullins.

She is survived by her two children, Mrs. Charlotte (Roosevelt) Berry of Lewisville, Arkansas and Mr. Kenny (Stephanie) Howard of Texas. Eight grandchildren. Special and oldest, Marcus Howard, Nivia Noble, Neena James, Lawrence Muldrow, Martez, Anderson, Arcie Berry, Brieauna Berry and Keistmon Roberts. Twenty-seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her beloved first cousin, Delois Green. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former co-workers, and other family members.

Mrs. Arcie loved crafting, playing dominoes and cards, cooking, animals, fishing, gardening, caring for her grandchildren, her community and her church. It was common to see her with her daughter or one of her grandchildren on a regular basis.

Her service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street: Stamps, Arkansas 71860 at 3:00 P.M. under the direction of the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Staff with interment immediately following her service at Old Town Cemetery Highway 29 North of Lewisville at Cemetery Road. Public visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. in the Hamilton-Davis Chapel.

Masks are optional but strongly recommended to ensure the safety and well-being of those who may attend the visitation and the funeral service.
